The 4 cards that are given out with admission are Electabuzz, Pikachu, Dragonite, and Mewtwo.  These four popular characters have new artwork and all-new game abilities. Each card has been specially stamped with gold foil that says, "Kids WB presents Pokémon: The First Movie."

Electabuzz:
The electrifying Pokémon with a very short fuse.  It is a good starting Pokémon for a strong force of Lightning Pokémon.

At 60HP, this is a good Basic Pokémon.

Its Light Screen attack means it will be even harder to Knock Out while you build up your force, because it only does half the damage!

You can then, after using Light Screen until you are built up, attach any other Energy and insult, maybe take out a few others, and let him bite the big one and bring out that fully powered Zapdos and let them have it!

Mewtwo
The world's most powerful Psychic Pokémon takes one of the starring roles in Pokémon: The First Movie.

This Mewtwo has 70 HP!  It can take a good whacking and has a cheaper retreat.

If you're worried about your opponent removing your Energy, this is the Pokémon for you!  The attack Energy Absorption, for 1 Psychic allows you to put 2 energy cards off of your discard stack onto him.  IDEA: In a grass \ psychic deck, use him with Venusaur to put your energy onto needy Grass Pokémon, as it doesn't say which type of energy you have to attach.

Then, you can build him up to 2 Psychic and 1 colorless and Psyburn those annoying Basic Pokémon and win quickly!

Pikachu
The most charming and beloved Pokémon of all. This popular character is Ash's favorite!

Pikachu's Thunderbolt attack does 50 damage, which is a lot. But you have to discard all the Energy cards attached to Pikachu to use it.  It is a good attack for taking out a Pokémon, then retreating Pikachu and bringing out another Pokémon until you need him again..

Pikachu can get Energy cards out of your deck using its Recharge ability, so discarding Energy isn't a problem.  Plus, he can mix up your cards better, when you shuffle.

You can also charge Pikachu up quickly by playing it, attaching an Energy card, and using Recharge. Then the very next turn, attach another Energy, and Pikachu is ready to use Thunderbolt!  The enemy will sometimes faint and will usually be almost knocked out.  Now, with Plus Power...

Dragonite
The flying Pokémon messenger of Mewtwo. Dragonite has an invitation for Ash in its bag.

Its power, Special Delivery, lets you swap the top card on your stock with one in your hand.

The attack Supersonic Flight, for 3 colorless, if you get heads on a coin flip, it does 60!  Ouch!  This is great if you use Pokémon Breeder with your Dratini and then have 3 energy and you will quickly fry the pathetic Pokémon that just are getting played and are still Basic.  This can be helped with Computer Search.
